Volunteering with NIFSS

The Nanaimo International Film Screening Society (NIFSS) thanks the volunteers who helped us for the 2024-25 season. 

NIFSS is actively seeing volunteers to help run our monthly film screenings for the 2025-26 season. We are specifically seeking volunteers for the following roles:

• Front of House (registration and ticket sales at the door)
• Ushers
• Greeters (front door, etc.)

It will be NIFSS policy in the 2025-26 season that volunteers working a shift in one of these defined roles will be offered a complimentary voucher to attend a NIFSS film screening event. The vouchers are fully transferable and can be used for any screening event during current season. 

We are also looking for volunteers to help with things like:

• Postering (downtown, libraries, community centre, etc.)
• Procuring door prizes from community contributors
• Fundraising events

Volunteers will normally be a member of the Society.  

NIFSS also welcomes interest to join our Board of Directors.
