Entering the Shaw Auditorium

Doors to the Shaw Auditorium lobby will open 30 minutes before the start of our films. You may enter the Shaw Auditorium two ways: 

  1. Entrance at 80 Commercial Street (see photo below) - this is our designated entrance for NIFSS attendees**. Take the stairs (or elevator) one floor up to the lobby of the Shaw Auditorium. 
  2. Entrance from Vancouver Island Conference Centre (VICC) Parkade. Please see below for specific instructions.      

**For security reasons, this entrance will be locked 15 minutes after the scheduled start time for the film. There will be no admission to the films after this time.

 VICC Parking 

  1. Enter the parkade at 101 Gordon Street and proceed to the far back corner of the parkade. You can park on either level P1 or P2.
  2. Use the elevator entrance with P1 or P2 circled in BLUE (NOT the one circled in RED) as illustrated in the photo below. Only the elevator marked with the "BLUE​" circle is designated for NIFSS attendees.

Fees at Conference Centre Parkade  

Parking rates are:  

  • Each 1 hour or portion $ 0.75 
  • Each 1 hour after 2 hours $1.00 
  • Each 12 hours $7.00

80 Commercial Street Entrance

The entrance at 80 Commercial Street - this is our designated entrance for NIFSS attendees. It may not be possible to access the Shaw Auditorium from any other entrance.

Entrance from Parking Garage to the Shaw Auditorium

Enter the parkade at 101 Gordon Street and proceed to the far back corner of the parkade. You can park on either level P1 or P2.

Of the two parkade elevators, only the elevator marked with the "BLUE" circle (on either level P1 or P2) is designated for NIFSS attendees.
